After the special 7 ½ edition launched earlier this year, now it’s time for the beautiful and symbolic number eight. For the best part of the four years that Portico has been around, we’ve been crafting a magazine unprecedented in the Portuguese business environment. The effect of this publishing endeavour can be measured by the overwhelmingly positive reception it has received from a growing audience.
When we founded Vanguard in 2017, we chose the motto “inspired by art, designed for living’. When we did so, we wanted the concept to be embodied in an unequivocal and consistent way, rather than just being a snappy phrase, which is often the case. We knew from the outset that this approach would be a key differentiating factor, and undoubtedly a very useful tool in terms of market positioning. It was also chosen because it dovetailed with our mission and commitment to the community in which we operate.
This attitude, which has spawned countless initiatives, such as the addition of original artworks to our projects and the development of patronage policies in recent years also includes the creation of Portico, perhaps the most daring of all these steps we followed. This is a magazine that focusses on themes that are Vanguard’s cornerstones, while moving far beyond the immediate sphere of the property developer we are. It comprehensively reflects the importance we attach to art and culture as a factor for the affirmation and rapprochement of cultures.
We haven’t been alone on this journey. We’re delighted to see the growing number of prestigious brands that have been with us along the way, which couldn’t make us happier. We would like to thank them all.
